Raised seating area

When I purchased my apartment the living room felt very long and thin at 6m x 3m with only a window on a short wall. To make the space feel better proportioned I split it into 2 three metre squares. Due to the high ceiling I was able to raise the floor of the second area to create a cosy TV snug. An aperture cut in the wall allows me to watch TV while cooking in the kitchen too. A wall mural is the backdrop to this area to mirror the city view from the opposite window.
