This year I've also started taking pictures of our house and sharing lots of them on my blog Villa Betula
I always have projects going on in the house, and the colours and interiors are getting darker all the time, it's like magic, and I love it. And one of our constant ongoing projects is the outhouse which we are converting into our studio at the moment.
I live in a 99-year old pink Victorian house that we call Villa Betula.
I both live and work with my husband in the Norwegian countryside, close to a small town called Hamar.
Every other week my daughter lives with us, and we also have a small cat and a very big Boerboel dog.
I think that items kind of change their attitude and impact in a room depending on where I place them. Right now the daybed is my favourite item because it got its finest place, just some days ago, in the music atelier (even though I've had it for years it had never been my favourite before!).
And I have a sofa “on hold” in a storage room which is crazy cool old brown leather, but we don´t have room for it inside now. We bought it vintage for our studio, and I think will run up as a favourite once the studio is done.
In general I love sofas and chairs.
Paint it the way you like it. And if you don't like it – repaint. Easy, cheap and transforming.
Bear In My Chair - one of the songs we have in preproduction for our second album.
Wish I had a talent for being more patient.
Tell people how you really feel.
Favourite: muted black
Least favourite: pale purple
Eat cake and drink coffee with my husband and sit in the sweet spot listen to fantastic music on a good stereo.
Press pause when I need extra time to think
We can buy sessional vegetables directly from the neighbours fields, and every month there's a big second-hand market in town where everybody who wants can have their own stand.
Mostly I hang out at home, because I love it here! But I also like to hang out at the Vinylshop where I can also buy coffee, a very nice combo.
And the monthly outside second-hand market where I have my own stand sometimes.
Vinyl og Kaffe (vinyl and coffee, vinylshop, coffee and live music)
Tante Gerda (café and live music, nice backyard)
Gullkorn (bar with lots of special beers and a nice backyard as well)
I think there is a big lack of niche stores, so when I go to stores it's mostly the second-hand stores, or I buy and sell vintage on the internet. The things I buy at regular stores is mostly paint or plants.
